What would you do?

So my boyfriend had a cold sore on his lip, then he touched his cold sore and then fingered me and I ended up getting herpes. (If you didn't know cold sores are another form a herpes just a less serious one) I made him go get tested for genital herpes but his came back negative. He doesn't have it, he just gets the cold sores but I have the genital form. Btw this is my first boyfriend ever and he's the only guy I've ever had sex with or been sexual with. What would you do or think I should do???
