Why don't couples hold hands anymore? :(

I work in the public and see thousands of people everyday, hundreds of couples.. And I can go days without seeing any of them holding hands :( and if I do it's usually just teenagers :/ everyone things it's so sweet when elderly people do... But why not the middle aged too? :/

I know we don't hold hands because I'm usually holding my daughters hand, and she walks too slow so we normally trail behind him. Lmao. And if we do hold hands, my daughter wants to trade which hand she's holding to the one he's holding. 😂

My husband and I hold as often as we can. In the car, sitting on the couch, out walking around.

Me and my bf never hold hands. We didn't even at the start of our relationship but it doesn't bother me that much. He will hug me or kiss me in public so at least I know he is still showing that I'm his.

We don't like to hold hands while we're walking around because we pace our steps so differently. But we'll hold hands other times, like when we're sitting down together.

After a while it just stops because you don't go out of your way to show they're yours anymore. Me and my boyfriend hold hand a lot, not just because we're "teenagers" but because I like to show he's mine and he likes to show I'm his. And it's just a way to show effection so after a while it doesn't seem necessary.

I always think about this. My man is 21 and I'm 23. We have been together for five years and we don't really gold hands. I feel like we are over that part, we aren't teenagers anymore  kind of over puppy love. But I still try and hold his hand or arm whenever possible.
