I was beyond scared , ecspecially being only 19
So my daughter was due February 26th . I didn't have her until March 5 . My induction date was March 4th . My boyfriend and biggest supporter stayed there with me through everything . Anyways , so my contractions started out very weak and slow (15 minutes apart) well the doctor came in and said she was going to try something called a flexi ball to open up my cervix because the week of my due plus the week I was overdue I was only 1/2 cm dilated . So she inserted the flexi ball and then was trying to monitor my daughters heartbeat , problem was they couldn't find it . The flexi ball made my daughters heart rate drop drastically and the doctor immediatley had to take it out . She said she's never seen something like that before that my daughter must've went into shock after she put it in . So after that they started me on pitocin that ended up making my contractions stronger and closer together (every 3 minutes) they were overly painful . I got admitted to the hospital around 6:30 pm & waited out on the epidural because I wanted to try and go without it as long as I could and I made it from 6:30pm all the way to 6:30 in the morning without it . (12+ hrs) anyways they started me on the epidural , so once I'm completly numb about two hours later they tell me that since my daughters heart rate kept dropping , that they were gonna take me off the pitocin as well that that might've been affecting her as well . So another few hours goes by and the doctor ends up telling me that they need to go through with a c section and oh my god I've never been happier in my life . The doctor said he's never seen someone so excited to get a c section and I was excited because I got to meet my daughter sooner . So we went through with the c section and my daughter was born @ 10:42 , March 5th weighing in @ 7lbs and 4oz & 19 in long . After I delivered her a nurse came next to me while I was still on the surgery table and actually told me that the real reason why they had to do a c section was because my daughters umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice and there was no way imaginable I was gonna be able to push her out vaginally and her come out okay . And I almost started crying . I'm so thankful that my baby girl is healthy and okay . She's my beautiful blessing & I love her 😍💞
