Pros / Cons?

Question

Thinking of going on the patch. I recently had a miscarriage and my partner and I decided we wouldn't try again until we were absolutely ready. I had a HORRIBLE experience with depo. I've tried the pills but remembering to take them the same time every day got annoying after a while.

I'm nervous to try anything hormonal but I figured I would try this one last time.

Anyone have a bad experience with the patch??

I'm currently using the patch and I love it! I used to be on the shot which made me gain weight and lose my sex drive. I also didn't get my period on the shot so I couldn't track anything. After I switched, my sex drive immediately went back to normal, my weight has been much easier to manage, and my periods are very regular! The only con is that the patch can fall off if you go swimming often. I've never had it fall off in the shower or during a sweaty workout or anything but I've had 2 fall off in the pool. As long as you replace it immediately, you're fine. If you don't know how long it's been gone, use a condom for the next few days to be safe. I haven't had any negative side effects though. Just have to make sure it stays on while swimming!

I'm on the patch currently, I've also tried the ring and the depo shot. The ring was my favorite, but the patch isn't bad. It just feels kind of dirty wearing it for an entire week. It also makes my breasts very tender, but it doesn't make me super hormonal.

I've never tried the patch. The best BC I found that has worked for me (as far as emotions go) is the ring.  I tried a few pills, but they messed with my emotions way too much.  
I know that this may not help with the patch issue, but maybe another idea to consider if you decide not to use the patch...
