How old do you have to be to get birth control?

I've had sex before with my ex and he used s condoms but I have a new bf and I wanna have sex with him but I don't trust condoms so much I'd like to get on the pill and use condoms just to be super safe. And I can't talk to my mom because she had no idea that I'm not a virgin! Please help me!
