Protein help

Mikahla

So I haven't really liked meat since I got pregnant. Any ladies have any good protein filled food suggestions? I've been doing some cheese, eggs and yogurt. But I need more ideas!!!

Please and thanks!!

Peas, spinach, kale, broccoli, mushrooms, artichokes, Brussel sprouts, asparagus. Oh and quinoa and couscous. Kale, asparagus, and broccoli are also a good supply of folic acid. Make some yummy smoothies with some kale. Seasoned couscous with slivered almonds and feta cheese is one of my favorite dishes.

This was me in my first tri with both babies! I keep veggie burgers in the house and have one for dinner when I can't stomach what everyone else is eating. I also switched from regular to Greek yogurt and cottage cheese.

I'm a vegetarian and seem to get a lot of protein.. Try chick peas.. Protein and iron! They're really good plain or roasted or in hummus!

I'm vegetarian so I've been doing this protein thing for a while. Here are some of the things that have worked for me lately despite pregnancy weirdness:Eggs (especially in breakfast sandwiches or hard boiled with a salad)Beans (black beans with tacos or rice, white beans with Italian flavors, refried beans, Indian lentil dishes)Tofu (stir fried with noodles, or mixed with taco sauce and wrapped in a taco)Peanut butter (especially on apples as a snack)Yogurt (I keep a bunch of yogurt cups in the fridge at work)Good luck!

When I was super sick I supplemented with protein smoothies with fruit or slim fast has high protein shakes that taste good if you are desperate.
