Home birth?

Who is wanting or doing a home birth? I would like to, I don't want to be away from my son for 24 hours or longer. With him, I went in on the second got out the fourth :( I really don't know how to go about this though

I'm doing a birthing center birth- pretty much the same thing as a home birth, but with some medical professionals on standby.

If your going to do a HB get booked with MWS ASAP!! And MAKE SURE they are happy and willing to do HB before you accept them.  Not all are.

Definitely doing a home birth also I would first look into midwives in your area they should be able to further assist you with more info on how exactly to go about it!!! Good luck!!!

I had a home birth with my son and am planning another one with this baby! Just call and interview some midwives in your area to get an idea of costs and philosophies.

Yup. Planning one here. Im in reno so there are not a ton of choices but i feel like i found a good midwife. First appointment weds!

Not sure if we can afford a midwife so I might fly out my family friend to help deliver.

Had a HB with DS 5 years ago.  By the time my due date rolled around I hated my midwives, but didn't want to forfeit a HB so had to just deal with them as is.  STILL WORTH IT!! 
A Birthing pool ( mine was a Rubbermaid Horse Trough with foam padding and tarp lining), was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORTH the $100 rental cost!!!  Damn F-ING midwives made me get out of the tub to give birth cause 'reasons' which they never gave.  But still wouldn't trade the home birth with nasty MWs for Hosptial birth with nice medical staff.
