Septate hymen ??¡

So like I have/had a septate hymen. And it snapped in half when me and my SO had sex. And now it's just kinda there. Has anyone had this problem? Does it eventually go away? Or would the only way be to get it removed by a doctor?

I actually have a Septate hymen.  I always knew I had it but I went to the gynecologist and told her what I thought it was and she completely agreed with me. She said that they can use local anesthesia in the doctors office and remove it or you can actually go in and get it surgically removed or they just kind of burn it out and it's simple. Please let me know your choice, I haven't made mine yet:)

I also have a septate Hymen and mine broke kinda the same way yours did and it's also still there and my doctor told me I should just leave it but it's my body shouldn't it be my choice? I feel really insecure about it all the time
