Fear of orgasm

So I was assaulted when I was 13, since then I've been in a couple of relationships. Whenever I was being stimulated to eventually reach orgasm I would make him stop before I got close. I thought it was just my comfort level but even when I was super comfortable with him I couldn't get there. Any advice on how to get passed this? Or am has anyone else experienced this?
