When did you take your babies out?

My husband's family is really pressuring us to get our daughter out in public this Easter. She will only be 4 weeks old and with the delayed flu season I'm really not comfortable taking her there with all of those children (at least 10 of them)😧 I feel guilty that I don't want to take her out but her health is my main concern.

If you aren't comfortable, I wouldn't do it. I took my little guy out at 3 weeks, but only because we needed to get formula and diapers and there wasn't anyone to watch him. He did fine, but don't do something you're uncomfortable with :)

I wouldn't take the baby around kids. I took my baby out to get some shopping done in the stroller and for a walk around the neighborhood, but I haven't introduced her to any children and won't be until the weather warms up and cold season is over

Don't do it. I wouldn't even feel guilty about it. My LO had RSV at 8 days old and after that I don't take any chances. Sure, it sucks being in solitary confinement but I know it's only temporary and it will be over in no time. I've told lots of friends and family they can't come over and I've missed several family gatherings. It's tough but so worth it. Cold and flu season is too risky in my opinion. You just never know who has been exposed to what and who may or may not have up to date vaccines. Also, flu is just now becoming a problem. Spring is just around the corner!

I've taken my 3 week old twins out about 5 times now, had like 30 people over yesterday, and we're going to a first birthday party tomorrow. I just hope people that are sick do not hold them. I'll try and keep them away from the kids. My 2.5 yo son is in daycare and constantly kisses the babies. It's what you're comfortable with for sure!
I did say no to someone who asked to come over on a Tuesday after she told me on the Sunday before that she woke up sick.

I took my tiny out at about a week old. But I keep her in her car seat and with my "milk snob" cover completely covering the car seat. We do grocery store runs, and walks around the neighborhood. I would have severe postpartum if I wasn't able to get out into the world and start s routine! But like everyone has said. Do what YOU FEEL comfortable with. It's your baby not your family members. They probably just want to love on your LO. I made all family get TDAP vaccine before I had her if they planned on visiting ;)

I have a 4weeker we been every where including a fair last week. I just wouldn't let kids or any one who is "symtoms@ hold or touch my baby.  But it's what your comfortable with next week my church does huge Easter egg hunt for the public at the park we are going and since my 8 yr old loves and we go to her practices (since 2 weeks old) just had first game yesterday. It's kinda her for me to stay home husband in army gone all the time so I really don't have a chocie and I do work in the hospital to

Baby is 3 weeks today. Over the last day I think he's been held by 50 people during a funeral. All family. All depends what you're comfortable with.

I didn't wait any time at all before taking mine out in public. I have had to stop random people from touching her. As long as you are comfortable putting people in their place, I think it's totally fine! :)
