Why do they burn?

I am on week 3 and my nipples burn so much after I feed the baby. It hurts a little when I feed but the moment I stop. They burn. I've looked in his mouth to see if there's any Thrush and there isn't. Please help.

COCONUT OIL. Swear to goodness you'll never use anything else. And it helps prevent it from going to baby if you have it. Coconut oil is amazing haha

Is it like a tingle/burn? It could be your let down is extremely strong. I had that with both boys the first month and half. It eased up then I had an over supply for two weeks (totally normal btw) now at 3 months my boobs have normalized and don't get hard and overly full like they used to. When you get there remember that is just your boobs getting in a normal place for making enough milk for baby. I thought I was loosing supply but I wasn't cause I keep track of his wet diapers.
