Anyone else have early bleeding?

According to the pregnancy test I took, I am about 3 or 4 weeks pregnant. I had some light cramping off and on during the 2nd week, and 2 days ago I went to the bathroom and saw bright red blood. It wasn't a lot of blood, but it wasn't a small amount either. The blood made its way out and I never saw red blood again, but the past 2 days I have seen very light spotting that is brown every time I use the bathroom.

I am calling my doctor on Monday for some advice and to possibly move my appointment up sooner so they can check on everything.

I'm just so worried about this! I keep reading that early pregnancy bleeding is normal, but I also keep reading that it's a sign of a chemical pregnancy or miscarriage. My mom, step mom, and friend who just had a baby all had bleeding and everything turned out fine.

So I want to hear from other women who had early pregnancy bleeding - what happened with your pregnancy? Did it end, or was it normal and you stayed pregnant?
