did u try putting your breastmilk on it? I was told when having cuts to rub breast milk and let it air dry.

Call your OB about All Purpose Nipple Ointment; it worked for me when nothing else did.

I had the same thing and I switched the way I held my baby during breastfeeding. I found that football hold worked better. Also, when your baby is matched, take your finger and pulled down on the chin to make sure you have a wide and deep enough latch. If that doesn't work; I would recommend seeing lactation consultant.

I agree with the comments about the prescription nipple ointment. Just call your OB and ask for 'All purpose nipple cream' and they can write you a prescription for it. My nipples were hurting so badly and lanolin and mother love weren't helping at all. The coconut oil did help some and was the only semi-relief until I got the cream from the doctor. That made a huge difference! Nipple pain is the worst! Hope it gets better soon!

Ouch! My pain feelings go out to you. I had problems with one of my nipples for 12 weeks, i tried many different things. In the end I fed only from the good side and pumped the bad side. I did saline solution soaks after every pump and put Argan oil on, then covered it with saran wrap. Sound crazy, but for me it worked and after some days it healed and i used a nipple shield till my little girl decided she didn't want it anymore and now all is fine. Good luck to you. I hated when people said this to me at the time, but it really does get better 😉

Ouch!! My heart goes out to you!! I hope you heal soon! My OBGYN prescribed me nipple cream that has lidocaine in it..it's wonderful! You should ask your dr!

I had the same problem at the hospital I was non stop breastfeeding my little one and with in three days my nipples cracked  my left side especially was bleeding and swollen I rested on breastfeeding stopped for at least 2 days and applied the lansinohl cream helped out a lot now in breast feeding again and now I feel no pain  my son is now 5 weeks try resting that nipple  hope it helps
