Gender Mistaken?

Has anybody done an early ultrsound where they tell you the gender and you do another one where your around 6-7 MO and gender has changed? If so can someone explain why does that happen? Thanks

Yes...and sometimes baby girls will have thicker parts down under and it can be confused early in for boy parts. My best friend had a tech that tried to tell her at 12 weeks that they were having a girl, but 4 weeks later (closer to when genitalia actually comes completely out to reveal gender) they saw that it was actually a boys.

We had an ultrasound done at 16 weeks and they said boy, we've had three since and he's for sure still a boy. My doctor said that it's more common for boys to be mistaken as girls on early ultrasounds because sometime their boy parts don't drop until after 20 weeks.

I had ultrasounds done at 16 and 22 that both said we were having a boy. At my 28 week they said it was a girl!! My doctor told me to bring clothes for both lol
