I had a scheduled induction on Feb
I had a scheduled induction on Feb. 22nd at exactly 40 weeks due to me honestly just being miserable and she still didn't want to come. I went in an hour earlier than I was scheduled and at 8pm they started cervidil which for me after about 10 mins or less started immediate contractions that started off in my back. At 1am they came in and took it out due to baby's heartbeat dropping with every large contraction. My cervix was 100% effaced but still was only a 2 which is what I was when I went in. At about 7am my doctor came in and checked me I had only dilated to 3cm. She tried to break my water with her finger but learned there was no water at all and figured it was somehow behind the baby's head. We started pitocin and contractions got to where I couldn't handle them at about 10am so they gave me nuban after 2 hours the medicine wore off and I wanted more but by that time the contractions were so painful the nuban did nothing. At about 3pm I gave into a epidural. Before the epidural I still hadn't dilated from a 3. I had two large contractions back to back while they were putting in the epidural and I didn't feel them put the epidural needle in at all. As soon as they pushed the medicine through he catheter I immediately went from a 3 to a 8 in literally one minute. As they let my husband and parents and aunt back in the room I looked at them and said well we are going to have a baby soon and they were shocked and didn't believe me the lady was getting everything ready and it seemed like in no time I was ready to push and at 4:20 pm on February 23rd my beautiful princess was born ❤️❤️
