Bed rest with placenta previa?

Question

So at 13 weeks I was having really bad pelvic pressure and the doctor said it looked like the start of placenta previa but that it was too early to diagnose that. I am now 19 weeks and have almost a complete placenta previa and Doctor seems to not want to put me on any kind of bed rest. Just curious with other women's doctors, how many of you were put on bed rest right away at around 20 weeks?

I was diagnosed at 14 weeks after heavy bleeding. I was told to take it easy. My uncle who is a doctor told me I should be in bed rest for a while and not to bend down or pick up anything heavy (not even a gallon of milk). Today j had a doctors appointment at 18w 5d and the doctor told me it was likely that I would bleed again so I shouldn't worry and to continue to take it easy. I can go out and drive and stuff like that but it shouldn't be for too long.

I was diagnosed with placenta previa at 14 weeks after a bleeding scare. I'm currently 20 weeks today! I was not put on bed rest but I was put on pelvic rest. (No sex) Also no heaving lifting,exercising, or strenuous activity. I have my follow up appointment on Thursday and hoping that the uterus has stretched and pulled the placenta away from the cervix!

I have the same.. My 20week scan is weds and they were gona check to see if it's moved.. They advised it most likely to move before due date.  However I'm on bed rest because I have a lot of lower sharp pains.. I was curious if any1 with placenta previa also suffered from pains throughout pregnancy

Not me but my SIL was on bed rest immediately and for awhile when she had placenta previa.
