Has anyone else felt this way?

For the past few days I started what seemed like a period very light period. (Periods are lighter due to mirena) and have been having on and off menstrual like cramping. Is this normal?

Answer

Yes this is very normal. Progestin only methods are know for causing irregular bleeding/spotting, are also known for lightening periods and stopping them completely. Being that the IUD is a foreign object in your body, it's normal for the uterus to sometimes contract around it.

As long as you aren't bleeding super heavily or in any extreme pain, everything is going well.
