New to Metformin...how long did it take you to get regular periods?

 I'm so frustrated that it's come to this. I went off birth control back in August thinking I'd be getting pregnant pretty quickly but that definitely wasn't the case! I went 3 months without a period of my own, then was put on Provera- had a Provera bleed in December (which was a fucking nightmare!)....then NOTHING until February 15th...I got a period on my own! Then this month...NOTHING!

 I was told that I had a very mild case of PCOS and all my labs (thyroid & hormones) came back normal. I guess she diagnosed me just from the pelvic ultrasound. I have and underactive thyroid and I'm overweight, but working very hard to lose with diet & exercise. I don't need a baby tomorrow or anything but I'd just like to feel "normal"! I'd like to be able to track my cycles and feel like my body is working properly! Please don't read my post as me complaining- I'm just venting! Thankfully, I have a super supportive husband- it's just my own brain that can't stop obsessing about when my next period is going to come. My doctor is offering to put me on clomid- but id like to see if I'm able to get pregnant on the metformin itself. Clomid sounds like a nightmare too! 😐Anyone else share my feelings or have any advice they'd like to share?!
