MIL & your own mother. Best friends or worst enemies?

Question

For those whose are best friends ; do you love it? Or does it get annoying? 
Those whose are enemies ; would you want it any other way? 
Share some stories! 
I personally would love to have them be friends but they just do NOT get along.

My husband and I met when we were in high school and have been together 13 years haha so our moms have known each other forever and get along really well. They both have four kids and still have a kid in high school and have a lot in common so it's nice for them, they like to get together and chat (or more likely commiserate) about life.  I'm glad because they love me and my husband so much and help us out all the time I have always felt like his mom was like my second mom. They spent the night in the hospital waiting room & were able to be there for the birth of our son in December and they loved getting to hang out and wait together! It's nice that they are friends.

Mines don't know each other and I've been married for almost 9 yrs!! (my MIL lives in Mexico)

Neither! My MIL doesn't speak English and barely communicates with my mother. I barely communicate with my MIL😂
