We have unexplained infertility. Every dr I've seen wont help me. They say if it's not broken I cant fix it. I'm about to turn 29 and I feel like I'm running outta time. My periods have went from 4 days to 2 days and I have no idea why. I've never been pregnant at all in my life. Hubby's been tested too and they say everything is normal. I just dont understand if everything supposedly works correctly then why cant I get pregnant??

Hi,  Dr. Malik! My husband and I have been ttc over 4 years. In August we "likely" had a chemical pregnancy and my cycle hasn't been back,  except for one day in November after being on Metformin for three weeks. My dr. Is hoping my menses comes back on its own, because even with PCOS, I had been pretty regular for a couple of years. I have letrozole to take,  but I'm supposed to take it on the 3rd day of my cycle. Any suggestions or overall advice? Thank you.

Hi dr.malik,

I never receive a positive result on my opk tests (I test every time I use the restroom at this point) and my bbt remains consistently low (almost always below 97.00) with no visible rise. I have had blood work and testing done and my gyno says everything looks great. I'm going on 2.5 years of trying for baby number 2. Any insight on what I'm doing wrong or what my doctor may be missing? Thank you

Want to ask why am I having repeated phantom pregnancies? I am 43 I've never been pregnant before and I would like a child. Plus I don't know why I haven't been able to conceive.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year and I am slowly losing hope. Yes, I am overweight, 30 and have hypothyroidism which I am still trying to control. According to the ovulation kits, I ovulate and so far no luck. Apart from taking daily prenatal vitamins I also take a fertility blend. I was reading about possible signs of pcos or endometriosis but am unsure if it applies to me. Normally when I get my period I do cramp up pretty bad for 24 hours, and I have mild diarrhea, but I don't know if that is normal. I am also currently trying to lose weight. But nothing seems to help. My periods are always on schedule +- 1 or 2 days. Please help! Thank you!

 My husband and I have been TTC for 28 months. All of my u/s and bw were wnl. We found out my hubby has low morph, count, and motility. His urologist put him on Clomid 25 qd with drastically improved his SA. I also have him on supplements, as I am taking them too. We had 3 failed IUIs. Motility on the last was 4%. We are losing confidence in our RE. She wants to do iui with injectables, but hubby is no longer on clomid. Urologist does not know long term affects and would not write another rx. Any thoughts? We are heartbroken and stressed.

According to my charting, I have a very short (10 day) leutal phase. Can you ecplsin the effect of this on achieving pregnancy? Does it mean there isn't enough time for implantation to occur?

Hi Dr Malik,

I have irregular periods. I skip months even year without a period. I've had hormone testing all came back fine except the fact I'm not ovulating tried clomid with trigger shot and Provera to start my period but still not ovulating. I started all natural herb called vitex to help regulate me but too early to tell if it's working. I went to see my obgyn yesterday she wants to start Me on birth control for 3 months then month 4 I would start clomid 100mg. I feel like I'm taking a step back by starting birth control but I don't get a period unless I take provera. Should I go this route and start birth control for 3 months? Should I try another method? Just worried it will prolong things even more.

Hi Dr. Malik,

My husband and I have tried to get pregnant for four years. We spontaneously conceived and it ended up being an ectopic pregnancy. I lost my left tube because of it. My RE won't recommend me for IVF until I've done 3 rounds of IUI, but my husband will be on deployment the duration of my treatments and I'd rather that $$ go towards something that's more of a for sure thing. Do you think IVF is more successful over IUI? Or am I being impatient?

I've been told all my blood work is perfectly normal, yet I continue to not ovulate. The husband and I are doing our first round of Clomid + IUI this week, mostly due being frustrated and feeling like at our ages (32) we need to be more aggressive. I'm also doing acupuncture.

What else can I do to ovulate regularly? I'm at a loss. I have no health issues and have had a full fertility workup, thyroid panels, etc.
