Dilated at 30 weeks?

Question

What's the chance I could be half or a whole cm dilated at my 30 week appointment?
I have a LOT of Braxton hicks, and I've been getting random shooting pains in my cervix the last few days. I'm 29 weeks now and get checked the 1st.

I had the same thing and was dilated 3 cm at 33 weeks with my first. 3 weeks of bed rest and she was born 4 weeks early (perfectly healthy). But that's how my body likes to do things. She was the only one of 5 born that early. A few of my pregnancies I started labor at 5cms and my last one I was already a 7 before I went into actual labor. Baby was born on her due date and I walked around for a month feeling like she was gonna fall out! :-)

I was 2cm from 30 weeks until my first son was born at 40+1.  I had no contractions or pains, they just happened to check during a BV swab and notice it.

It's very likely to dilate early.... Doesn't mean your going to be fully to a 10 anytime soon.... I don't think you can actually tell when you dilate just because of pains in your cervix though.

I don't think it's likely, but my friend was 1cm dilated at 31/32 weeks and so they put her on complete bed rest because of it
