Over 42 weeks?

Just curious. Has anyone ever went over 42 weeks? Do you know if you could be 44 or more weeks pregnant? Lady here said she's almost 44 weeks pregnant. How is that possible?

No smart doctor will allow you to go past 42 weeks. It's absolutely not safe at all to do so. Most want you to deliver at 41. The risk goes up by the day after 40 so why risk it?

Baby isn't ready to come yet. I was 42+1 and had to be induced.

They're supposed to induce you if you hit 42 weeks because it's a risk to the baby and they will get too big.
