Nervous labor won't start naturally! *vent post*
Okay so I've been reading so many other mommy's posts and I'm still unsure. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow, 2nd baby. First came naturally after having membranes stripped at 38 week appt. Born 38 weeks 2 days exactly after 14 hours of intense contractions at home dilating from a 2-7 cm, then at the hospital 7 1/2 hours later he arrived. This pregnancy has been much harder on me, diagnosed with GD at 32 weeks, contractions all in abdomen and lower (first baby I had back labor). I had my membranes stripped last Tuesday at 38 week appt (38w2d) had lots of contractions all day, nothing became consistent, just strong. Everyday since I've gone into bouts of contractions that get strong but never closer together. I'm frustrated and in pain all the time, lost lots of cervical mucus, not sure if its the plug. Induction date is scheduled for the day after due date 4/3 (also first sons birthday) as with GD and first son being over 8lbs 2 weeks early, doctor doesn't want me going over. I'm nervous about having to be induced, but also nervous because first son was so big that I'm now going to have a bigger baby and be unable to handle the labor and birth or have to have a c-section. Any other mommies have any advice or ways to induce labor and keep the contractions moving?? I've tried walking all the time, stairs, pineapple. Contractions start, but as soon as I'm resting for longer than an hour they stop😧😟
