I would just because you don't know where it's been before you put it on your baby. I've worked in retail for 11 years, and let me tell you, I have seen some disgusting stuff. Just because it has tags on it doesn't mean it's clean.

I never did.. My son lived and never had a problem.. I just check for needles and string in the footie ones.. People are mean!!

Your baby can have super sensitive skin. Like my son did. If I didn't wash it in the gentle detergent he would break out even in new clothes! So yes I would do it cuz you just never know. And trust me you don't wanna deal with an allergic reaction RIGHT after bringing new baby home

Yes. They are touched by so many people and end up in boxes, store room floors, knocked off shelves and hangers, warehouse floors, workroom floors, they get stepped on.......you get the idea.

You can't always see all the all the dust, dirt, germs and grime your clothes collect before you get them home.

Just finished washing all my baby boys 😓 took forever but I found it necessary😄on a side unrelated note that boy does not need more clothes lol

I would say if your worried wash it before he or she wears it but don't go washing everything because chances are you probably will have way to much stuff and they won't be able to wear everything you have and that's a waste. You could possibly return, exchange for a bigger size or gift to someone else who is expecting but if you wash before you just have tons of clothes to be donated basically.

I say yes because you never know who or what has touched them especially if someone had it at their home and returned it.

Wash just what you plan to bring him home in and maybe a few onsies, blankets, etc also. Then once home and you know how big he is wash as you go so you can return what is unused! 
I bought a ton of nb for my second babe and he came you 8lbs 10 oz. Nb fit him for a day seriously
