Does it hurt?

I am getting a membrane sweep in a few days on Monday and I was wondering...does it hurt?

I think it depends on the dr and the mama.  Mine hurt, but it felt like my dr was elbow deep.  But it worked, my first contration was 15 minutes later and she was born that night

Yes!! Just be prepared mentally and you'll be good though. I had my second Friday and I'm at the hospital in labor now!!!

I had two and I didn't think either hurt more than the cervix check. I was also dilated to 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 when they did it, so I don't know if that made any difference. Just take a deep breath and remember it might help you meet your little one sooner ☺️ hope it go a well!

I've had two and neither hurt really. It felt like the normal uncomfortableness from my annual checkup just a little longer (30 seconds or so).
