Average is 6-12 days. But average always means there are outliers on either end of that range. So 5 DPO is unlikely, but probably not outside the realm of possibility. And unless you had an ultrasound to determine when you ovulated, it may have been a day or two sooner than you thought (charting temps and using ovulation tests, for example, cannot pinpoint the exact day of ovulation).
