What to eat before?

Being induced today.. Any suggestions on what to eat or drink before I go in?

I ate right before I went to the hospital at 5, they started me on cervidil at 8 pm and after that I wasn't allowed anything else to eat but could have clear liquids so I survived on water and Gatorade until my water broke and then ice chips until he was born.

Something starchy and with protein. Depending on your hospital they may not let you eat after you are admitted or after midnight. So whatever you eat today has to last a while.

I had a white sauce pizza with garlic and spinach in labor LOL. That alone is enough for me to gi midwife route. Id eat what I wanted! You don't know how long it will take and could end in csection so I'd enjoy a meal at least!

My doctor told me to eat something light before coming in at 6. I had a bowl of cereal. When I got there and they put the cervadil in she said it was gonna take a while so she ordered me a big breakfast. Then I got a liquid lunch that I didn't even want to eat and nothing else until an hour after I delivered my little girl the next day.

I didn't eat bc I went in at 7am and I was tired. You should check with your hospital. Once I was all checked in I was allowed to order breakfast. I suggest eating a decent amount of food that is filling. I was told you typical dilate a cm every 2-3 hours so I was looking at a minimum of 12 hrs. At my hospital you're allowed to eat until you get an epidural or if your baby starts showing signs of distress. I wasn't hungry again after breakfast until I got the epidural and at that point I was only allowed jello and sorbet.
