Doula or no doula?

Anyone planning on hiring a doula for labor support?  Any great experiences to share?

I want to hire a doula but my husband does not.....he said it makes him feel like he is unnecessary during the birth.

We had one with my daughter (she's 5now) and it was the best decision we made! She helped me to breath and made sure my birth plan was followed. She was an amazing support and I'm hoping to hire her again. Well worth the money!
