So my bf and I have been together for two years. He does make me happy. But sometimes I feel like he doesn't make me feel like I'm beautiful or sexy. He'll call me gorgeous and beautiful once in awhile but it's just nice to feel attractive. The other day he said that him and I are too fat and he wants us to be healthy. It kind of hurt my feelings, but I know I should be healthy.

Idk I know I shouldn't depend on any guy to give me validation. But it's just nice you know? Am I being crazy?

I understand that he's trying to be helpful with the weight situation but that was the wrong way to go about it. He should say "I think I need to lose weight, if you want to do it with me you can, but if you don't you're still the beautiful, drop dead gorgeous sexiest woman I've ever met"

How often do you compliment him or call him sexy (gorgeous, hot, ect.)? 
It's a two way street, and men are clueless half the time. I've found my fiancé is much more vocal with his appreciation of me when I make an effort to be vocal first. 
If you want love, give love.
If you want gifts, give gifts.
If you want words of affirmation...you see where this is going.
Set the example you want him to follow, and let him know how good it feels when he reciprocates.
I promise things will change if you do.

No you're not being crazy, him calling you both fat is still calling you fat even though he's saying it about himself too. Most people say that you shouldn't depend on someone to make you feel sexy and beautiful but that's just how we are. You should speak to him about it and tell him how it made you feel

Idk it sounds to me like you're wining over nothing,and looking for validation in order to not change an unhealthy lifestyle. If he's good to you and cares about you, doesn't cheat on you, doesn't treat you like shit, I don't think worrying about the fact that he doesn't call you beautiful every second of everyday is a problem. Keep in mind he's a man, most of them are forgetful, and don't often express their feelings. However if it's that much of an issue talk to him about it, so he'll know that you're feeling a bit neglected. As for the fat thing, I honestly don't see a fault in that, especially if he is saying that the BOTH OF YOU need to get healthy, he didn't say skinny, but healthy, so maybe talking to him about ways you guys can start eating better, and becoming more physical with each other will also help your situation. And actually start doing something together.  And if you feel like he was trying to insult you on the sly, that's the perfect time to bring that up as well. Let him know that on your journey together to become healthier beings positive reinforcement is key, and certain words, regardless of the tone of the conversation, do no good.
