Lilikoi is Hawaiian for passion fruit. This child is certainly a fruit born of passion and love between myself and my partner. We are thinking Koi as a nickname.

I wouldnt name my kid after food, personally. Also wouldnt want to be nicknamed after a fish. I dont like it at all. Just being honest! But there will always be people who dont like the name you choose! No one likes the name me & my husband picked out: Urijah Anjrue. Its not set in stone but we love it even though no one else does!
