Anyone ever experienced an ecstatic birth? In a first time Mom, and I'm just 4 weeks along, so I have a while to get ready. I'm hoping to approach birth as a welcome experience and I'm hoping to interpret pain differently, but I don't know where to begin. Anyone know about this? I'm considering either a home birth out a birthing center instead of a hospital. I'd love to know anyone's ideas on those suggestions, especially if you've done either one. I was taught the word 'epidural' very young, almost as a joke, but my mom wanted me to know if was an option and to be able to have one when i had kids. Now I'm actually preparing for birth and I'd rather embrace it, if possible. Can you weigh in about natural childbirth? I'd be lying if I said it doesn't scare me some, but I'm hoping to approach this from a new perspective. Any advice is welcome!Thanks!
