Should students be held legally responsible for bullying if it results in a death?

I believe if it can be legally proven that the bullying is what caused the death (homicide or suicide) that the bully should be held legally responsible. Your actions always have consiquences,  some may be small and insignificant and other very profound and life changing. I think in this day  in age that a lot of younger people haven't or aren't learning that.

If they straight up kill the person than obviously. Homocide is a crime. 
If they're bullying no. I don't think so. As other users have said they often have their own problems, and throwing them in jail really helps no one. 
I don't think a child ever bullies another child with the intent of their victim going home and killing them self. They do it to fit in. Because it is easier to go with than be the victim. 
I think even bullies would be shocked and horrified by the death. These are students we are talking about, who's brains likely haven't developed quite enough for them to think through the consequences of their actions.

Oh my gosh, no. Most bullies have their own issues and unless they're complete psychopaths the guilt will be enough punishment anyway.
