Rx Question- anti-infective

Hi everyone,

Had a doctors appointment yesterday and had to get subcribe a medication call

Metronidazole 500mg 1x every 12 hrs.

I'm hearing controversial points a view about taking this medication.

I'm 33.4 weeks and doctors said I need to treat the infection or it can cause pre-labor.

Has anyone taking this medication?

Is it safe?

Will it harm my baby?

I asked this questions to my doctor but still would like feedback from people that actually has taken it and deliver a healthy baby.
