When you found out you were pregnant..

Does anybody else kinda miss that feeling you got when you first saw the stick say "pregnant" or show that second line? Every time I see someone post a picture of their pregnancy test, I get that happiness, butterfly feeling all over again thinking about that day!

How did you ladies find out? Were you trying? Was it a surprise? Did you have symptoms (besides a missed period) that led you to take the test?

We were SO surprised! My periods have always been irregular, so that wasn't anything new to me.. and my boobs always get sore right before I start, so that didn't give it away either. The only real indicator (other than extreme moodiness if you ask my boyfriend haha!) was that I felt cramps that just seemed different than when I was about to start.. I don't know how to explain it. But I still didn't even think I was pregnant! I thought there was something wrong with me, haha! My boyfriend was the one who finally suggested I take a test. I nonchalantly told him I would, but still didn't for a few days. Then, some friends wanted to get together for drinks so I figured I should go ahead and take a test before drinking, just to be sure. I seriously had no expectations of it saying pregnant!!! I was SO SURPRISED!! My boyfriend didn't even know I was taking it right then, so I yelled for him. He said when he saw me I was white, haha! I'll never forget his expression when he realized what was going on.. he was SO HAPPY! I was still in shock. I told him to go get two more tests, just to make sure (it didn't even seem real!) Today, I'm 15 weeks & 2 days.. sometimes it still all feels like a dream, but we couldn't be happier or more excited about our little BOY! 💙💙💙

Honestly,  I have to much on my mind now to think about the positive test. Might sound. ..stupid,  but its true.  Now,  I AM very happy,  very excited, about being pregnant. But between the obgyn visits, stressing,  the perinatal visit, more stressing,  the continous sickness, my 60 hour week job and my non existing free time,  I don't think of the test anymore.  I think- ok, what's next on the list.
We were not actively TTC, however, it was somewhat planned.  We stopped any and all protection and he started cumming in me.  We both agreed that since I have really long,  weird cycles AND PCOS(found out AFTER getting pregnant, my obgyn confirmed it) it might take quite some time to get pregnant, and in the meantime,  we can get married,  buy a home,  etc...well. .. to both our surprise, I got pregnant quite fast. Of course we knew it was decided, we,will be parents. I found out simply because I went over my already crazy 39 days cycle, and I also spotted around the time I should have gotten it, just two SMALL light pink spots, that's it. Test was positive. Did 3 more after that,  just for my own sanity.  My SO was in denial saying it's way to faint,  thus it's malfunctioning..lmao! Ya- light faint, within seconds is always positive. 
Then the stress. ..waiting,  the doctors. .the fears. . Etc..here I am at 12 weeks 2 days. Heard the heartbeat once at 9 weeks, then was not able to find it again till just yestarday(both times on home fetal doppler). Tomorrow is my 12 weeks  (and first) perinatal visit. My obgyn wants to also do a quick follow up visit after that,  so two appointments at two different offices tomorrow. Scared and excited at the same time.  At least my SO has been right next to me at every single visit...my rock! Don't know what I would have done without all his moral AND physical help. .from cooking to cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping. . AND going for ice cream and other things for my 2 am cravings. . 
It's been a trip so far. . And I love it..

Finding out I was pregnant was a complete shock, not even a surprise. I got the depo shot the first week of October but ended up conceiving the first or second week of December so the shot still should have worked until the beginning of January but my doctor summed it up to a failed shot or me being "extremely fertile" and my BF having "strong swimmers." I decided to text my best friend because since pretty much the beginning I was sick as a dog (early January) so she came over with 2 pregnancy tests and basically pushed me to take them and sure enough, came up hot in 2 seconds flat - at that point I was 5 weeks along. I haven't been with my BF for long so we were both in shock when I told him on our 6 month anniversary that I was pregnant and man did we have a hard time with it. Between constant bickering and contemplating abortion, we didn't know what to do. Our living situation isn't ideal since we live with my mother, father, younger brother and a friend of the family (trust me there's A LOT of drama here between everyone) and our financial situation as well we didn't know if we could even handle it. But once I was around 10 weeks he started coming around quickly and we decided that we want to keep this baby and raise him together because we really love each other very much. He's definitely amazing and has been my rock through everything and now we've been together almost 8 months and will be having our little boy a month after our 1 year anniversary and are planning to move out in the next 6 months or so 😊

I wish I had felt surprised or happy. I did an HCG trigger for an iui and I decided to test 8dpo because I found an extra test. It came up light positive but I had no idea if it was because I was pregnant or if it was still the HCG, so I felt a little sad that I couldn't get my hopes up or be excited to finally have that positive after a year and a half of trying.

I found out November 29. A week after my mother was discharged from the psychiatric unit of the hospital. I had realized I never got My period that month so I went and bought a few tests. I took the first one and was so shocked that I threw It away and took another one because I was convinced the test wasn't working. Lol. I peed again and the two pink lines showed up again and they were so bright it wasn't a mistake. Other than the missed period I was really nauseous and irritable more than usual. I told my significant other and he was upset and nervous because he said we couldn't keep the baby because we weren't financially set. But here we are 23 weeks pregnant with a bouncing baby girl and we couldn't imagine not keeping her. Addison is the light of our lives. And we have really started to grow up even more knowing we have her coming along. 💚😍🎀
