2 month old with low thyroid??

Question

I got a call from my pediatrician today and he told me that my son's newborn screening showed his thyroid lvl was low.  Wtf??  My son turned 2 months last week and he's not showing ANY of the symptoms I've read online.   I'm so worried!!  I'm taking him for blood work tomorrow.  Any chance it was a false positive?  Has anyone else been through this?

There is a chance it could be a false positive, which is the reasoning behind retesting! If he's healthy and not displaying any symptoms, I wouldn't worry just yet! 😊 Wait for the new results!

My husband has been on thyroid medicine since birth. For some reason it didn't develop properly. It's no big deal once its regulated. 
I understand how you feel but don't worry if it positive it's not anything major.
