Quit your job due to pregnancy?

Stay with me...this store is a bit longSo I work at Starbucks, and I am 9+3. 
My manger has been giving me the super early 4am shifts which is hard on me due to severe morning sickness.  I sat down and talked to him and explained that I needed later shifts because it was easier to get myself together and get control of my morning sickness when I had a chance to sleep in a bit more. I also explained that I needed a few more days off during the week. I just can't do 40 hours per week right now.
Well he continues to schedule me the 4am shifts 5 days a week even though he said "I can work with you on your new schedule needs".

So for his past week I had a family emergency and called and told them about it and my manager said he would get my shifts covered for this week. I went mon-fri no problems. But today(satutday) when I'm still supposed to be having my shifts covered inrecieved a call(at 4am) about me not being at work.
But it wasn't just one call. They called me 8 times!! I sleep with my phone on silent because it's hard to fall asleep and I don't like to be waken up once I finally get some rest.
I'm just so mad they would call me that much! I am stressed out enough dealing with my family situation, and I feel like this is the last straw. 
I'm ready to quit!
I need to worry about not only my health but the babies as well. And this level of stress I'm dealing with is only being made worse my my job. I have to do what's right for me and my unborn child.
Has anybody else had a job treat them poorly enough that they quit during pregnancy?

Personally I wouldn't quit unless you have another job lined up. I felt the same at the beginning of my pregnancy, I'm a pastry chef that worked early and double shifts and over 50 hours a week. It was hard in my first trimester because I was constantly sick and feeling dizzy and light headed but it wasn't an option to quit. I felt much better going into my second trimester so maybe just give it some time.. It's really shit they aren't trying to work with you on changing to fit you but some companies really don't care about the well being of their employees which is awful. I don't think it's a matter of being treated poorly. It sounds more like miscommunication. I would try to talk to you manager again. They may have meant future schedules because changing current schedule affect other people too. They may have dropped the ball on doing what you two agreed upon.

Sorry :( my manager did a "we can accommodate you" shpiel and then took it back too.  Turns out my manager didn't know the company policy beforehand and had gotten in trouble with her supervisor.  Is there a way you can ask to be transferred to another location?

It's hard to make a decision like that now that your pregnant unless you have your mans full support and can have the luxury of quiting your job. I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and I still work as a waitress. I'm not going to lie I wanna leave now!!!! But I see other woman work much more harder than I do while pregnant and it makes me feel weak to quit now, and that's no a big deal as it is to be with out of a job while expecting. I'm work until 36 weeks and than staying home 3 months with the baby. They should not give you such a hard time about your job in your condition they have to accommodate your needs because your pregnant. What state are you in ???

As a manager myself in a healthcare clinic I understand how difficult it is from the managers view when suddenly someone needs special schedule accommodations. If the schedule for the month is already out I have them work with switching shifts with coworkers and then I work to accommodate when making the next months schedule. It's hard to change a schedule already out cause if affects 24 other people's livelihoods. It is also required if a staff member can't work full time suddenly (40 hrs) that they bring in a doctor note. You should talk to your MD about getting you one saying you need special accommodations.

I'm a nanny for two literally crazy boys. They're so undisciplined and their dad is usually home most of the time. Last week after I specifically told the two boys that they can't be rough with me anymore cause of my baby they ended up trying to wrestle with me, hit me, throw pillows at me, and even jump on me while I sat on the couch. And the mom did NOTHING! It's do frustrating and makes me so scared they could harm my baby. But I can't find a new job, no ones going to 
Hire a pregnant woman...so I may just have to talk to the parents.

I would try and talk to them again. It's surprising to me, because you have grounds to file discrimination (I'm in HR) and generally once something like that is mentioned employers are cautious to oblige. I would turn in FMLA paperwork, you'll qualify, and then when you call in it would be using your FMLA (unpaid), and depending what your doctor says (reasonable amount) they can't deny it.

I say as long as you get a job lined up ,making sure you let them know when and what hours you can work would be fine I quit my job at a chicken factory and a few days later started my new one I had lined up. The chicken factory job was BS because I let them know I was pregnant and they didn't care. When someone to work  doesn't care then you stop caring about your job too. Just get another job lined up.

Personally I wouldn't quit until you have a another job. I would be afraid about trying to find a new job while pregnant.

Personally, I would rather not quit a jib, when I don't have another one lined up. Extra income is always welcome. Last year at my school, we had no Principal or any other management to support us as teachers. The learners at my school lacks discipline and manners, and some leaners wanted to stab me, or kick my face in. Other than the learners, I got pregnant during the exam times, so I had to invigilate in my off periods, and was not allowed to sit down and rest. It was hard and still is, but I can buy everything that the baby needs without worrying.
