Baby Shower or Welcoming Party?

Ok, so my current dilemma is that I'm not sure if I should have a baby shower, or a welcoming party once baby girl gets here. We have practically everything we need && then some. But once she gets here August/September is the start of flu season/lots of germs. What do you ladies think??

I love the idea of a welcoming party! I'm pregnant our first child, so it's definitely not my place to give advice, but maybe if you did a welcoming party you could ask for items you didn't have that you'd like now? And, with everyone meeting your little angel in one day it might give you more private/bonding time with baby instead of having a constant flow of people coming by 😊
