Hi, just curious if anyone has had something similar happen to them. I was about 5 weeks 3 day pregnant (Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016). Started bleeding and light cramping...went to the ER they said it was a threatened miscarriage as my hcg level was only 250. Absolutely nothing showed up on the ultrasound. Bleeding and cramping got worse over the next few days and I was certain it was a miscarriage. Had blood work drawn again on March 30 and hcg went up to 296. Hcg draw again today, April 5th and hcg is 326. The Dr. did another ultrasound today and still couldn't find anything in my tubes or anywhere else. He says I have a pregnancy somewhere outside of my uterus. I am not in any pain now, but still bleeding lightly. We agreed to check hcg again in a couple of days....hopefully it goes down! If embryo is still growing somewhere it would be about 6 weeks 3 days now. I'm starting to worry a bit. Anyone have a similar story? Thank you!

UPDATE: hcg went up again (369) on April 7th. The Dr. was concerned and recommended surgery or methotrexate to end the pregnancy. Since they weren't even sure where the embryo was at, I opted for the methotextrate injection. They gave it to me that day (April 7th) and on the 11th my hcg had already dropped to 98. I have another lab draw tomorrow (the 14th)....I am hoping hcg has dropped to 0. I am ready to start moving on and healing! I hope this post helps someone else. :-)
