The moment u see someone ask this question, regardless of how they put it, they have taken either non prescribed strong painkillers or hardcore drugs, during pregnancy.

I think it's pretty clear cut and simple ... if your obgyn prescribed some kind of pain killers, u can go ahead and take them...otherwise you only take Tylenol. No painkillers, no cacaine, no weed, no heroine, etc. If u don't have the decency to be a responsible parent on your own, at least realize you are running into the posibility of having child services take your newborn away. More than 90% of all hospitals across the entire country DO in fact go the meconium test, whether u want them to or not.

I can also be sympathetic and say that I know addiction is horrible and I know some try hard and want to stop. But If that's the case, DO tell your doctor you're going trough very trying times. ..he/she will help.

But, please, stop coming up with excuses or coming up with a "reasoning" why u do what u do. ..if u need help, get it, otherwise, be an adult and either talk to ur doctor or take the damn Tylenol...u don't need hardcore drugs of any kind... if cigarettes and alcohol that are LEGAL to buy, are very VERY bad for ur unborn baby, why would something that is either 100% illegal or u need a prescription for it, be in any way ok for your unborn baby?

Not only do you risk pre term birth, low birth weight, stillborn....but ur also risking having child services taking away ur baby, at birth.

If ur not ready to commit 100% for the 9 months ur pregnant, than please, get urself on birth control. .or have the men wear a condom....or both. ..
