I am having my iud inserted on the 22nd, has anyone experienced weight gain or trouble loosing weight on it?

How are your periods like? Ie: longer, shorter, lighter, heavier, cramps, no cramps, non-existent anymore lol.

What about the pedictability of your period? I was told that I may not even experience one for a while on it. That I can have spotting anywhere from 3-6 months post insertion and that it will last for 5yrs for me.

If it makes any difference I've been on the pill the last 13yrs but now with 2 kids my life is to busy and I find myself forgetting my pill at night then having to get up again and take it. I also don't want any more kids but not willing to have surgery or have my husband have surgery because I still need birth control for medical reasons.
