I'm just curious of how long you ladies wait to have sex when you are in a relationship. My boyfriend and I are 10 months in and we're getting there. We will be each other's first. I just want to know how the amount of time we've waited compares to other people. We are 17&18 btw.

My bf now (of almost 5 years💕) waited 7 months to have sex, he knew what my ex did to me and so he wanted me to wait till I was completely ready for it and even when I would get tipsy/fairly drunk and would want to have sex, he would tell me no because he didn't want our first time having sex together to be in his truck with me drunk lol, he wanted it to be in a bed and a nice setting (we weren't virgins btw) but we did do other stuff during those 7 months. With my ex I waited a month unfortunately to lose my virginity to him and then he broke up with me a few weeks later. So I'll never sleep with someone early into a relationship especially with what he did to me.

I don't really wait a specific amount of time. Just whenever feels right...could be anywhere from 6 months to two days. Depends on the relationship
