Did you get your BFP before or after AF

Me and my fiancee have been TTC for about 5 months now for baby #2. I had my daughter 2 almost three years ago ( I cannot believe she's getting so big 😩) in an unplanned situation. So I'm new to all this trying stuff. We used preseed this month. And I really, really was confident we got it this time. So I took a test (a wee bit early) only to be disappointed to see a BFN. I am due for AF this Sunday. So I'm feeling a little let down and was wondering if maybe there is still hope. Has anyone gotten a BFN with AF due in just 2 short days and then received their BFP?
