Placenta previa?

Has anyone else been told they have placenta previa? Apparently my placenta has formed right over my cervix and that's the most likely cause of the bleeding I'm having - baby is well and growth on track etc so the midwife wasn't very concerned at this stage. They say it can get better as pregnancy progresses but that's more likely with partial previa. Just wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation or has experienced this in the past?
