Ladies with midwives-help!

So I'm 11 weeks and hubby and I planned on getting the NIPT test as I had a first cousin die from T-13, on my mothers side. I've emailed my midwife ( she said its fastest way to get a hold of her if it's not an emergency), but she has yet to respond. I had my first apt with her around 10ish weeks (she's going by my lmp date not conception). She didn't bring up any testing during that apt. besides the normal blood type. I'm  at a loss on what to do. I know you have to get it done before 14 weeks. Should I schedule the testing with a doctor if she doesn't respond in a week?
