Colic? What is it exactly?

My son is about to be one month old in two days and he's recently started crying non stop, it makes me emotional, that even I want to start crying because it's too much. Have any of you experienced this with your LO's? How do you deal with it and when does it go away? Is it colic? I just need advice at this point. Thank you in advance

My grandma recently told me that colic in their day used to be called "cold tummy"  when she thought my son had it she was telling me to heat up a rice bag and lay him on his tummy.on the rice bag.. Once my son pooped he was fine haha but hope that helps

Our pediatrician agreed it's colic but we disagree about what is causing it. My baby will cry pretty much all day except when he sleeps and it's hard to soothe him. Gas drops have helped a little.  Similac sensitive is the one (out of 5) formula that doesn't upset him as much but he still looks, to me, to have an allergic reaction. I pump and breast feed literally as much as I possibly can but its not enough so I must supplement. Out of desperation I'm trying goats milk... We'll see.

I had this with my 3 week old. Go to a pharmacy and buy Gerber Soothe brand probiotics, for colic! You use it 5 drops daily. My little girl went from crying all day to not at all. Miracle stuff! My lactation consultant said every mom that uses it sees success. It helps them digest and get gas out. I'm 100% satisfied. I live in North Carolina and spent $30 for a month supply (a bottle lasts a month) but I am so glad I did! Good luck!!
