anyone having a Jr?

After much debate on what to name our second child, our last - a boy, we are giving him my husbands name making him a Jr. I'm not a fan of "Jr" we will call him Michael while my husband is Mike to everyone. I just wondered if anyone else doing this? Seems old fashioned to do so but I love the name Michael and it seems fitting to name our last his to carry on the name.

I think jr is still pretty popular but just wasn't for us plus my fiancé didn't want a jr. Thank god lol

I've never been a fan of the Jr. thing only cause I don't want my future kids if they are boys to not feel special about sharing their dad's name so I've been thinking of maybe using my hubby's name as a middle name maybe. Luckily my mother in law gave him like 100 first names,😂 Jon-Michael Robert . LoL But I support you ladies on your choice for Jr. My brother is a Jr and he does act just like dad. Hysterical My mom always screams at ya yay I created two of you when they are both being annoying in her heavy Spanish accent. So funny😂😂😂

My first son is a 3rd.  His name is Tyrone but we call him Trey since he's the 3rd.  I picked his nickname because my husband most of his family calls him papa which I guess his uncle gave him and his dad is Tyrone but I call my husband Tyrone and that has kind of stuck now with the family that is around us a lot.  So now it's big Tyrone and Jr most of the time and I DID NOT want my son getting little Tyrone.

I think we are going to give baby daddy's first name (Anthony) but we are changing the middle name bc dad has personal reasons why he's against it. The baby will technically not be a Jr. But we were thinking of still calling him Aj. We haven't fully decided on any name yet.

Well here's a funny story.. My names Georgianna, my boyfriends name is George, our baby boy (both our first) he wants to carry on his name with him. I was like uhm, that weirds me out a little because of our names but the past few days he's been referring to our baby boy as junior. I told him were definitely going to have to talk about this name thing because I just want to use him first or middle name as a middle name for our boy 😩😂 it's really a kind of funny situation lol

We just call our boy junior he was named junior as soon as I found out he was a boy and it's just stuck lol his real name is Ethan but he doesn't answer to it 😂
