Miscarriage this past Saturday

My husband and I couldn't believe I was pregnant after ttc for two years. I started to bleed and by the time I actually saw the doctor I was bleeding heavily and bright red. Got a blood test done with my levels being at a 2 meaning the baby was pretty much already gone. My question is, once the bleeding stops how soon can we start trying again? As devastated as we are this isn't going to stop us from trying again. Should I wait until I stop bleeding and take some ovulation tests to see if u ovulate this month? I'm just curious as to how it all works.
