Scare!

So at 34 weeks I got an awful stomach bug and puked for hours. I had my regular doctors appt that next day but I couldn't keep anything down. I called the doctor and they told me to come in immediately I was dehydrated so they hooked me up to an Iv. Throughout the day and night I started to feel better. On one of the many trips to the bathroom throughout the night when I wiped there was a lot of bright red blood. I completely freaked out and my boyfriend and I rushed to the hospital. We got the and the blood had stopped and turned to a more brown blood. After a couple hours in the hospital I saw the doctor she said that sometimes those things just happen and the baby was perfectly normal. They monitored me for a couple hours before sending me home. I am now almost 36 weeks pregnant but any little thing scares me. Has this happened to anyone else??
