Heart rate.. Normal to fluctuate from high to low?

At 10 weeks the baby was around 165, and on my at home Doppler today it was 135. Not that the at home one is super accurate but is it normal to go from high to low? And does the sound change as the baby grows??

My sono line B Doppler works very well at detecting the heartbeat. However, it does not ever give an accurate reading as to heart rate. You can count how many beats are in 15 seconds then multiply that number by 4. (That's beats per minute) give or take 5 and that's the reading on heart rate. At least that's what I do.

They do fluautate during the day. Keep in the mind the Doppler needs about 30 seconds of clear sounds to get an "accurate" reading. And also they will begin to slow down in general as they get older.

Ours dropped between ultrasounds at the doctors office. It started out much higher at the first ultrasound (8wk) and at our elective 17 wk scan it was 20bmp lower? Something like that. The HR was still strong though and we were told as baby gets further along the HR typicall drops (while obviously staying within that healthy "normal" range)

My doppler does that too. Ive notice that the one Drs use is a lot louder then the at home ones.

My home Doppler read that my baby's heartbeat is 120s to 130s I think they just run lower than the doctors office or may be in accuratei'm like you every time I'm at the doctors office it's in the 160s

I JUST got my at home Doppler today. Yesterday at the doctor it was in the 150's. Today on the Doppler it was around 140. I've heard the at home ones are not as accurate but it still freaked me out..
