Best kind of BC

I've tried the pill and they made me super sick.. I've tried the ring and my periods are too irregular.. So my question is, what's a good type of BC.. My obgyn and I have talked and she suggest the one that goes in my arm, but I've heard good and bad about it. I don't want on bc to have sex unprotected but I want on it to help regulate my periods. So ladies what's your suggestion..
